As it happened, I drew attention to this artist's undeserved late. I miss the time when music community decided that Gregory is a genius. I missed the moment when the actor got his well-deserved Grammy. This is because of my carelessness that corrected our regular column with jazz compositions and today in the light of the new record came out from one of the most significant artists of our time.
First, let's deal with those who the Porter and that he wants to tell us. I will not retell his biography, simply describe their thoughts. Soft, light/air, enveloping all music listeners receptors, it does not lose a single gram of the classic recipe treats. We should also mention the tools designed to create an atmosphere (I mean bass guitar and double bass) - I think this is excellent decision to seize the sound atmosphere. Vocal feature of the artist is the depth of performance, it is possible to warm the listener without falsetto, or voice strain, all that is necessary in his case - to put it in the sense that he performs. It is faith in the fact that Porter sings and makes the listener literally travel back in a time when Jazz was at the peak of its popularity. Generally flaws I could not hear, it is unlikely that record is applied to the Contemporary, it is just for music lovers bored by the past.
