Johny Britt - Marvin Meets Miles (2016) (SOM Exclusive)

There are artists who so much sink into the soul of a large number of music lovers around the world, that from this it becomes even a little uncomfortable. Today, instead of the regular jazz collections - which I just can not pull together, we have to evaluate a new creation from one of the best jazz trumpeters of our time, discussed today will be about Johnny Britt and his tribute to the great king RnB/Soul music by Marvin Gaye.

Let's start with an explanation of the essence of the plate, I have been looking for clarification why the work is called 'Marvin Meets Miles', because it musically is just about the best compositions by Marvin, and here Miles Davis? The only sensible idea came to me suddenly - by Britt plays the trumpet, as well as Davis and I want to believe that this kind of allegory - when Johnny Britt (he himself puts into place Miles Davis) got acquainted with the work of Marvin Gaye. Well, I am not against such an approach, it will be very interesting to listen to the interpretation of the actor that he was able to bring to the already jammed into holes of the composition, not to be confused with bored.

The first thing that comes to mind when listening to Marvin several classic tracks - so should sound Gaye in 2016, the year when he was alive and released remastering the record, I would not have refused such jazz sound! This fact once again proves how great was the music of the King, no matter how many different remix/tribute/cover songs, we did not listen, we always learn classical notes, which can not bring change, but this is not necessary, because these compositions are beautiful! All that is needed - is to breathe into them a 'fresh' sound, use the latest tools to write a little more jazz arrangements - here it is a recipe plate/tribute the success of this artist. In my opinion Britt did everything so beautiful and the best of what I am pleased to add to your playlist, God knows what the interpretation of the account of the great hits of the past. I also think that Johnny did an excellent voice work, not on your nelly not infringed the rights of the original, only introduced to the work of his musical melancholy, by the world of music, which we unfortunately have lost and are unlikely to ever be repeated.

Let's go back to the first line of my little review and think about what to us is Marvin Gaye, it seems to me that many of us agree that it was a legend of music that never dies, his work underwent a huge test of time. It is to this work, we all go back to come up with something new, be it artists, listeners or musicians - they all remember and honor presented by the artist. I would recommend to all, without exception, to hear this work, because it is so real music should sound, and the Jazz culture lover will be pleasantly surprised by the elegant jazz sound.

From alternative music go to the classic RnB

#Usher #YoungThug #Migos #WillDowning #New #RnB

Usher - Still Got It (Ft. Migos)
Usher - Still Got It (Ft. Migos)

From alternative to turn to classic RnB and today we have a little holiday, as a sufficient number of tracks and each will choose something for themselves. You could even say that today a compilation of tracks consists essentially of a single artist.

Usher - apparently agonizing waiting behind us, and all we will soon hear the long-awaited release from one of the most popular artists RnB. According to the release is scheduled for July this year, I want to believe that these rumors come true, and yet our entire court issued three singles. The only issue that I care about is whether will the 4th single release th 2015, a new record, or record the Usher brand new album?

The first track for me is the best of all the singles out below. The first impression is that it is Chris Brown, only the vocals multiplied by 1000 positions. We have long been aware of the artist's love for such - RnB ballads powerful enough to remember Hey Daddy, Love In This Club, etc. In general, I am happy that Usher back with quality and good material, we can only wait for the plate itself...

The second song I liked less than the first, but I was able to insight Usher and perhaps on the whole record, this track will be very good to listen to, especially among the already well-known hits. Although in general the track reminded me more Justin Bieber - or something like that, though his vocals Usher can echo the miracles, and then track perceive quite differently.

The third composition is not clear where it came from, such as the new single and the like from Usher, but neither the style nor by a cover, not in the sense of - this work can not log on to a future record, which we discussed above. Either this is a track from any soundtrack or collection or something I do not understand. The very composition seemed to me very weak, it is not the Usher, rather it is a party to the vocals from another rap artist.

Will Downing - Everything I Miss At Home

Downing - I already wrote that the July 8, scheduled to be released new album from one of the geniuses of music Soul. Now it's time to listen to the first single, and make sure that the work will be done at a very high level. Moreover, if you read the media, it becomes clear that this is the first full (meaning the money invested) work over the years. He himself is the living embodiment of a single classic sound, which we all expect from Downing is, personally I am looking forward to yield the intended release!

01. Everytime I Missed At Home
02. Don't Ask My Neighbros
03. Your Smile
04. Get Here
05. Street Life
06. Everlasting Love
07. Black Butterfly
08. Nights Over Egypt
09. Meet Me On The Moon

Little-known newcomers were able to surprise my sophisticated taste.

#6Lack #FinalDraft #RoyWoods #New #RnB

6Lack

Last week, I missed our new section with an alternative RnB from beginners industry, so this week I fix embarrassing mistake. At this time, the composition crept diverse and important little known newcomers were able to surprise even my sophisticated taste.

6Lack - Quite by accident stumbled upon this artist, it is hanging in the top of the iTunes downloads, here and decided to listen. After that, once understood, it will be a worthy representative of the alternative headings RnB. All done in the best traditions of this time observing all that one could observe, I even began to like it strong enough to add this song to their playlist.

Final Draft - I've seen the video on this single and I knew about the existence of this single, but it only came out last week in the network, so I did not hesitate decided to add it to our selection. Guys I remember for several compositions from the past, as in the past, the guys are more relevant to the Underground style, but that does not overpower the debut album release. As for the sound, it's nothing special for myself, I have not heard it all already with Day26, Brutha, B5 and others.

Roy Woods - once two new singles came to passing week, more singles from the novice to the world of music, they are interested in me, first of all, an unusual sound. A sort of mixture of RnB/Zouk/Soul/Dance Hall/Reggae and bribed me with the first notes. The first single at all seemed a tough continuation of the good old Dance Hall style, and just such an artist as the Rupee.

The second thing already is closer to the current realities of fashion, except that the accent and manner of execution not going anywhere. In general, a character interesting enough, especially in today's dominance of monotonous electronics trying to squeeze out something similar to RnB. Let's see what will happen next and whether the album will be, for all of these singles.

E.Bland- Soulcentric (2008)

E.Bland- Soulcentric (2008)

E.Bland- Soulcentric (2008)
E.Bland- Soulcentric (2008)

Now that we have the opportunity to hear from the new release of the artist, since we already understand this year that Elijah goes to a new level with its second release, then I think there is no more reason to wait, it is worth assess the debut. Today we have to evaluate the work, which began the path of the artist, at the same time I listened to their debut album, which is still in the distant 2008th seemed interesting.

From the very beginning it is necessary to understand who is E.Bland and that the work he provided to our court. This actor relate to category Underground - so just wait for him a certain sound, but in reality goes a completely different feeling. That is rarely the feeling when a guy wants to transfer money to his account, if only he had the opportunity to write more and more, higher-quality albums, most importantly do not stop there.

That sound colors, which are represented on the album, envy even famous and successful artists, many even after decades can not find such a variety of sounds and musical techniques, which are used here. All this is written with a good mastering, and a great sense of style (it is also a sense of proportion). Bland as a vocalist for me is a very high level, I was very impressed with his ability to control his 'instrument', it really feels like a fish in water in any of the presented on the album styles. Speaking of styles, Funk/Soul/Neo-Soul/RnB/Blues/Jazz - all these colors you can easily hear on this record, if the actor moves easily over time, bringing us back to the classic sound of each style. And if you go back to the beginning of the paragraph - that I think any artist with Soul would be happy to get one of the tracks from this album for their personal use.

Overall - this is one of the Underground culture diamonds, carefully stored in my modest music collection. I would advise first to evaluate this work for those who like this style as the Soul/Neo-Soul - I even think you have to know this guy. Then included in the audition tracks those who love a good RnB, with live instruments and vocals beautiful - you will not be disappointed. Third, but not least will be those who simply love good music, I think you should also join the black musical culture!

I liked: Talk To Me, Funk That (Ft Bomani Armah.), Right On Time, Sugar High (Ft Wayna.), Sneak Tip
